30 years and moving forward

This past year, JIVE celebrated its 30-year anniversary and 10 years as an ERIC. Our celebrations were heartfelt and full of pride, marked by the anniversary session at the EVN Symposium in Bonn last September, where we reflected on JIVE’s past and looked ahead to its future, together with our community.

Just as meaningful were the everyday moments: doing science, contributing to projects old and new, building connections, brainstorming ideas, making plans, and preparing for future milestones. Whether in our shared home in Dwingeloo—where ASTRON celebrated its impressive 75 years—or across the lands of JIVE’s members and EVN partners.

It is along this path, shaped by these moments, that JIVE brings telescopes and people together to make great science happen. They fuel our excitement for what’s ahead in 2025, now just around the corner.

Here’s to the next 30 years—and beyond.
