Dr. Danté Follows the Flashes

On Monday December 16th, 2024, Danté Hewitt successfully defended his PhD thesis, entitled "Following the Flashes: Monitoring and Localising Repeating Fast Radio Bursts", at the Agnietenkapel of the University of Amsterdam. Danté's thesis focuses on the study of fast radio bursts, and includes 5 refereed publications that are based on data from Arecibo, Nançay, Westerbork, and the European VLBI Network (EVN). These papers reveal that some repeating fast radio burst sources apparently produce more than one burst type, and that some repeaters are found in puny galaxies.
