The first national Dutch SETI meeting was held a few weeks ago in Dwingeloo. Around 35 SETI enthusiasts attended but the numbers were further bolstered by the regular participation of quite a number of ASTRON and JIVE staff. In addition to astronomers, the participants boasted a wide range of different expertise and backgrounds, including: philosophers, artists, a film maker, journalists, outreach specialists, pastors, engineers, CAMRAS volunteers and several lay people. Some people were wearing multiple hats at the same time. It all led to some interesting exchanges during questions. Everyone agreed it was a great meeting, and many of the participants hoped that a second meeting would be organised next year.
