On Saturday Oct 7 Klokhuis organized their annual Question Day, in Nemo, the Science Museum in Amsterdam. Entry requirements: having a question. Hundreds of kids and their parents came to Nemo from all over the country, it was packed. Lots of opportunities to do experiments, ask questions 1-on-1, or go to the "Ask Away" (Vraag Maar Raak) Show. There, a group of 5 scientists were running against to clock to demonstrate, together with the audience, the answer to 8 questions per show. Kids put their questions in a bin at the start, the questions were randomly drawn, and the clock started ticking. We had groups of kids simulate grain growth and planet formation; we launched rockets; we swung each other around to explain dark matter. It was a big hectic show and a lot of fun. The aftermovie was just posted, the show is featured 01:10-01:40, a few screen shots shown above.
