This project involved building 38 roof tops on LOFAR station cabinets.
The idea is to shield the cabinets from solar radiation and prevent down time by overheating. Preliminary tests have shown a big improvement here.
Peter Gruppen and Zabet Ahmadi delivered quite an achievement here.
Construction involved moving around heavy parts and many days they had to operate in hot weather conditions.
They were also able to complete this project in a remarkable short period of time.
