Sciencehub âDe Oerknalâ is aimed at 12/13 year old pupils and hopes to foster their enthusiasm for a scientific or technology-directed career. A gamification design approach was chosen for the Sciencehub turning the future class excursions into a game-based learning hub.
As the designer puts it: âFuture visits to the Sciencehub de Oerknal should leave the pupils inspired, thoughtful and slightly sweatyâ.
In the colloquium, Robin Brouwer - Concept designer of the Sciencehub will present the goals, scope, design approach, and resulting concept as well as a glimpse into the look and feel of the de Oerknal.
