In the online setting, more attendees than usual were present: there were 100 registrants, including many that would not have been able to attend a physical conference. Twelve talks were given on a variety of topics, ranging from home-built antennas, to interferometry and even interpreting the Voyager pulsar map. Prof Anna Scaife gave an interesting keynote on radio astronomy at Jodrell Bank. The full programme is still available at the Eucara website.
Discussions were held in a text chat environment, while the talks were streamed over youtube, with a live Q&A after each session. At the end of the day, a very special announcement was made by Wolgang Herrmann of the Stockert Radio Telescope, who had observed an FRB. Not bad for amateur radio astronomers!
All talks can still be watched back here.
The conference was concluded by a social event, where people could video chat in an online environment. During the social event, a start was made with organizing the next EUCARA in the UK.
