International Women’s Day 2021

This year on International Women’s Day, astronomer Caterina Tiburzi gave a lecture and did a q&a session with third and fourth year students (bilingual education) of the Vincent van Gogh school, location Lariks in Assen. She introduced them to her field and told them about why she became an astronomer, what inspired her, but she also told them about the challenges women face in the STEM field. The students were very enthusiastic and asked a lot of questions, a successful celebration of International Women’s Day!
