Weekend van de Wetenschap 2019

During the yearly Weekend van de Wetenschap (first weekend of October), CAMRAS opened the doors of the Dwingeloo radio telescope, and organized many events and experiments around the telescope and the Muller house.

This year, the Dwingeloo Telescope was one of the 12 top locations - there was one for every province. This led, among others, to some promotion on national television. Quite a lot of visitors showed up: around 190 (imagine fitting them all in the telescope to appreciate this number).

Thanks to the effort of around 16 volunteers, the day went quite smoothly.

The next edition of Weekend van de Wetenschap is on 3 and 4 October 2020 (volunteers are welcome to mark this weekend on their calendars).
